Lines for extending your residence permit: the expiry date, your job, the digital photo, and the Fiktionsbescheinigung while you wait.
Bring
Passport, current residence card, everything on the list in your appointment letter (often employment contract, recent payslips, rental contract, health insurance proof). Book the appointment before your permit expires
Expect
Expiry date, same employer or not, missing documents to submit later, a digital photo (taken there or by a certified studio, no paper photos), fingerprints, the Fiktionsbescheinigung, a letter when the card is ready
